JOLDISK

End User Licence Agreement (EULA)

Last updated: May 14, 2026

1. Agreement

This End User Licence Agreement applies when a user downloads, installs, runs, or uses the JOLDISK desktop security software, updates, documentation, and related components. If a user uses the software on behalf of an organization or legal entity, the user represents that they have authority to bind that entity to this agreement.

2. Licence Grant

The Company grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install and use the software only within the scope of the valid account, plan, licence key, seat count, and term. Ownership, copyright, and other intellectual property rights remain with the Company or the relevant rights holders.

3. Account and Licence Conditions

Use of the software may require a JOLDISK account, organization policy, licence status, and server authentication. Organization administrators may manage members, seats, security policies, network settings, and log access. Users must not install or use the software beyond the assigned licence scope, or share, sell, rent, or transfer accounts or licence keys.

4. Installation and Updates

Users must install the software only on supported operating systems and environments that meet the system requirements. The Company may provide updates for security patches, feature improvements, bug fixes, and policy compatibility. Some updates may be required for security. Outdated or modified installers may cause feature limitations, security risks, or connection failures.

5. Security Features and Policies

The software may provide screen watermarking, screen capture blocking, print watermarking, removable storage control, policy synchronisation, and organization drive connections. Feature behavior may vary depending on operating system, privileges, drivers, security products, organization policies, and network status. Users and administrators must ensure that these functions are used consistently with workplace notices, consent requirements, and internal rules.

6. Logs and Personal Information

For authentication, licence verification, policy application, security status checks, and diagnostics, the software may exchange operational data such as device identifiers, app version, policy version, heartbeat, feature status, and error logs with the server. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy. Users should not enter unnecessary sensitive information into logs or settings.

7. Restrictions

Users must not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass, modify, copy without permission, redistribute, sell, rent, host, or evade the security functions of the software. Users must not create unauthorized licences, bypass authentication, impersonate a policy server, insert malicious code, disrupt the Service, or use the software to violate law or third-party rights.

8. Open Source and Third-Party Components

The software may include open source or third-party components. Those components are governed by their own licence terms, and those terms prevail where they conflict with this EULA. The Company may provide open source notices, full licence texts, or source code access methods separately where required.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Company makes reasonable efforts to provide the software with due care and skill. However, the software is not guaranteed to prevent every security incident or operate without interruption in every environment. Users should perform their own validation, backups, internal approvals, and recovery planning before deploying to important systems. Mandatory warranties that cannot be excluded by law are not limited by this section.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Company is liable for damage caused by its intent or negligence according to applicable law. Except where liability is recognized by mandatory law, the Company is not liable for damage caused by user configuration, organization policies, network failures, third-party security products, operating system updates, unauthorized modifications, licence violations, lack of backups, or force majeure.

11. Termination

If a user violates this EULA, the Terms, licence conditions, or applicable law, the Company may restrict, suspend, or terminate the software licence. Upon termination, users must stop using the software and delete the software and related materials when requested. Payment obligations, damages, confidentiality, and intellectual property provisions that arose before termination survive.

12. Governing Law and Contact

This EULA is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will first be handled through good-faith consultation and, if unresolved, by the competent court under applicable law. Questions about the software licence or this EULA may be sent to support@joldisk.com.
